Mahindra AFS has always treated its employees like family. They have created an atmosphere that everyone enjoys taking a lead in. Be it decision making or even innovation, Mahindra AFS has inspired people to be their own hero!

The Journey So Far

I joined Mahindra in June 2011 as an Assistant Manager. Within one and a half years of joining Mahindra, I got a promotion and currently I am working as a Deputy Manager. To say the least, these 4-5 years at Mahindra have been heart-warming!

For me, the main reason to choose Mahindra AFS was the trustworthiness of the brand. When I joined here, even I realized that there is an ocean of opportunities here. Mahindra gives its employees a sense of ownership which is really motivating. We are given complete ownership and accountability to discuss and decide on budgets for our functions as well.

Rewarding Environment

I think another inspiring thing Mahindra has been doing is the concept of rewards and recognition. When people get appreciated, they get motivated, and it works as an incentive for them to work better. I believe the perfect example for this would be me. Since last 3-4 years, I’ve been one of the top recipients of such awards. Such appreciation has made me ready for every upcoming challenge in life, personally and professionally! I think more than rewards and recognition, what motivates is the career growth. Every employee here knows that being good at your work is the key to success.

Earlier, the business in the trucks industry was at a low. There were fewer opportunities to showcase our talent. We took this as an opportunity by doing some other projects like raw material inventory. The raw material inventory is collected on the basis of the market projection’s volume. Usually, the produced vehicles are less than the projected volume. Rest of the inventory is then piled up in stock costing a whole lot of money to Mahindra. We undertook two new projects to solve this problem and saved a huge amount for our business!

Memories to Cherish

I believe there are two memories that I would always cherish in life. One would be my first promotion here and other would be the time I’ve spent with my team. Throughout the journey, we have learnt a lot.

That learning experience, of course, has been because of Rise. The three pillars of Rise– Alternative thinking, Driving positive change, and Accepting no limits have created a platform for innovation. More than creation, it provided a platform for implementing the innovation. I truly believe that the philosophy of Rise has changed the life at manufacturing!
