A Constantly Rising Learning Curve!
Working at Mahindra AFS
I have been working with Mahindra since 5 years now. Currently, I play the role of a Deputy Manager in the supply chain department. I first joined Mahindra as a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) in the year 2011 after being placed here right after graduation. From then to now, it has been one incredible journey!
Mahindra carries with itself decades worth of legacies, and it was a moment of pride when I got the opportunity to be a part of and contribute to such a brand. People around me were delighted to hear that I was employed with such a big name, and I felt nothing but privileged from the start of my journey here. My family is proud that their daughter is working with a brand like Mahindra!
The organisation and its people have nurtured me throughout these years. Right from my first day to now, I have always felt empowered. I have always felt that I am adding value to the organisation, the work I do. I have always been given opportunities to learn and grow. I still remember the nervousness of the first day, and how everyone – right from senior leaders to colleagues made me feel like I belonged to this place.
What motivated me?
Along with a sense of belongingness, growth and learning are an integral part of Mahindra’s culture. I could go to any employee and learn about something I did not know before. The learning curve is constantly growing here. A significant part of my growth is because of the way the senior leaders have guided me over the years. There is a freedom to do anything on your own with an assurance that someone is always behind you to support if you fall or make mistakes.
One of the key motivating factors has always been Mahindra’s EVP offerings, especially the initiatives that are taken under ‘Young Mahindra.’ From the policies offering a chance at further education to extensive training initiatives, it has everything one needs to become a better professional and individual.
I am an auto passionate person, and that keeps me going everyday to contribute to the company. I firmly believe that growth happens when everyone moves together. The company takes care of me, and in return, I give my best everyday to the organisation.
Moment of greatness with Mahindra
One of my fondest memories was when I got appreciation from the CEO for my efforts to reduce the inventory. More than appreciation, it is about the comfort of knowing that the senior leaders truly care about the employees at Mahindra. It motivates me to do better.
Rise philosophy is something that I try to incorporate in my day-to-day life. Instead of giving up, I try to live by the pillar of ‘Accepting No Limits’ and figure out a way to solve problems from the frontline. For me, Rise means moving towards success, together.
This organisation has now become a second home to me, and I could not be happier about it!
Is your organisation your second home too?
